SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro
Meet the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro, designed to keep your home secure 24/7! This doorbell allows you to welcome guests or scare off intruders with crisp, HD video and convenient two-way audio. It connects to almost any pre-existing doorbell wiring, making installation straightforward for most homes, old or new. You'll receive instant notifications on your phone as soon as motion is detected. The camera features wide-angle HDR video and night vision, ensuring you see clearly whether it's day or night. Thanks to smart motion detection that uses two different sensors to distinguish people from distractions like cars, you'll only get notifications that truly matter. You can even talk to visitors remotely, whether you're home or away. The package includes everything you need for mounting, such as an angled base and screws. Please note that it requires a Wi-Fi connection (2.4GHz) and is compatible with existing wired doorbell setups using a mechanical chime (digital chimes are not compatible). Recordings are available with select monitoring plans.

What customers say
The SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro elicits a notably polarized response from consumers, creating a sentiment landscape defined by the duality of excellent system integration versus frustrating technical reliability. Enthusiasts deeply appreciate its seamless incorporation into the existing SimpliSafe home security ecosystem, citing the convenience of managing all security devices through a single app and the generally high-quality 1080p video feed. The wide field of view and clear night vision are frequently praised, providing comprehensive coverage of the entryway, and the physical installation is often reported as straightforward for those replacing an existing wired doorbell. However, a significant segment of users expresses considerable frustration regarding the doorbell's inconsistent performance. The most critical pain points revolve around unreliable Wi-Fi connectivity, leading to frequent dropped connections, delayed motion notifications, and significant latency in accessing the live feed—issues that fundamentally compromise the device's utility as a real-time security tool. While the hardware is robust, the software and connectivity issues often require extensive troubleshooting, diminishing the 'simple' promise of the SimpliSafe brand. The overall sentiment suggests that while the product offers strong features and integration benefits, its inconsistent performance makes it a risky purchase for those prioritizing absolute, instantaneous reliability over system unity.
