Lightweight Compression Stuff Sack
Best space-saving solution for backpackers looking to maximize pack capacity.
Save space on your next backpacking trip! This REI Co-op Lightweight Compression stuff sack lets you fit more inside your pack by compressing your sleeping bag, puffy layers or other gear. It's made with ultralight, water-resistant, 30-denier ripstop nylon with a polyurethane coating and features nonfluorinated durable water repellent (DWR) to help moisture bead up on the surface. The webbing straps with buckles allow you to compress the bag all the way around, with 5- and 10-liter bags having 3 straps and 15- and 20-liter bags having 4 straps. The drawcord opening cinches to secure contents, and double-stitched seams ensure durability. It's designed to store your sleeping bag, and it's recommended to match the current stuff-sack diameter for the easiest fit. This product contains materials that meet the bluesign® criteria and is from a Climate Label Certified brand.

Know before you buy
The best approach is to measure the diameter of your current sleeping bag stuff sack and match it to the diameter of the compression sack you are considering. This ensures your bag will fit comfortably without being forced into a shape that could damage the loft.
It is water-resistant, not waterproof. While the 30-denier ripstop nylon features a polyurethane coating and a nonfluorinated DWR finish to help moisture bead up, it is not designed to be submerged or withstand heavy, prolonged rain.
The number of straps depends on the volume of the sack. The 5- and 10-liter sizes feature three webbing straps, while the larger 15- and 20-liter sizes include four straps to provide even compression across the larger surface area.
Absolutely. While it is optimized for sleeping bags, it is excellent for compressing puffy jackets, extra clothing layers, or any soft, compressible gear that takes up unnecessary space in your pack.
Yes, the sack is constructed with double-stitched seams throughout to reinforce the stress points where the compression straps attach, ensuring it can handle the tension required to shrink your gear down.
