Akasa X4 Performance Multi-Platform CPU Cooler
The Akasa X4 is an evolution of the popular AK-968 heatsink, now engineered for multi-platform compatibility across current AMD and Intel processors. It features three long heatpipes embedded in a copper base for rapid, even heat transfer to 45 aluminum fins. A PWM-controlled fan provides quiet, efficient cooling while the design smartly incorporates automatic VRM cooling to maintain system stability. Installation is simplified with the patent-pending Easy Select Clip for Intel sockets and a cam-lever clip for AMD sockets. Performance thermal compound is included for immediate setup.

What customers say
The Akasa X4 is highly regarded as an exceptional value cooling solution, delivering performance that rivals pricier competitors. Users consistently praise its superior thermal dissipation, often noting significant temperature drops compared to stock coolers, making it excellent for stable operation or moderate overclocking. The four direct contact heat pipes are key to this effectiveness. Furthermore, the included fan operates quietly, enhancing overall system acoustics. While the cooling performance is outstanding, the primary friction point involves installation. Some users find the mounting hardware cumbersome, leading to setup frustration. Despite these minor initial hurdles, the consensus is clear: the remarkable cooling power and excellent price point establish the Akasa X4 as a reliable, high quality workhorse cooler in its segment.
