Know before you buy
The Classic IKON features a distinct double bolster design, which provides better balance and allows you to sharpen the entire length of the blade. It also has a more ergonomic, contoured handle shape compared to the traditional, straighter handle of the Classic series.
No, this is a precision tool designed for slicing, dicing, and mincing vegetables and proteins. Using it on bone, frozen foods, or hard rinds can chip or damage the fine edge of the blade.
To keep the blade performing at its best, use a honing steel regularly to realign the edge. For long-term maintenance, have it professionally sharpened or use a high-quality whetstone once or twice a year, depending on how frequently you cook.
We strongly recommend hand washing only. Dishwashers can cause the blade to dull against other utensils and the high heat can eventually damage the handle material.
The double bolster adds weight to the center of the knife, which creates a more balanced feel in your hand. This reduces wrist fatigue during longer prep sessions and provides better control when performing delicate cuts.
