While you may not need a subwoofer for standard stereo listening, you might consider adding one if you are building a home theater system and want to capture the deepest sub-bass frequencies in movie soundtracks.

Because these are rear-ported floor-standing speakers, they perform best when placed at least 12 to 24 inches away from the front wall. Experimenting with the distance from the wall and a slight toe-in toward the listening position will help you achieve the most precise imaging and balanced bass response.
