Measure the internal diameter of your portafilter basket. We offer 51mm, 53.5mm, and 58.5mm sizes to ensure a snug fit, which is essential for even water distribution.

Because the screen sits on top of your coffee bed, it may slightly reduce the headspace in your basket. You might need to adjust your dose by 0.5 to 1 gram to prevent the screen from touching the shower screen when locked in.

The screen acts as a physical barrier that prevents coffee grounds from sticking to your group head's shower screen. This keeps the internal components cleaner and reduces the frequency of deep cleaning cycles.

Stainless steel has thermal mass, so it is best practice to place the screen in your portafilter and lock it into the group head for a few seconds before brewing. This allows the screen to preheat alongside the machine, ensuring it doesn't drop your water temperature.

Simply rinse it under hot water immediately after brewing to remove oils and grounds. For a deeper clean, soak it in a coffee machine detergent solution periodically to clear the 150μm mesh.
