Know before you buy
The Chora 826 is designed for larger living spaces. Its 3-way configuration and dual woofers provide the necessary output to fill bigger rooms with a full, immersive soundstage.
The Chora 826 has a recommended amplifier power range of 40 to 250 watts. While they are relatively efficient with a 91dB sensitivity, pairing them with a quality amplifier in the higher end of that range will ensure you get the best dynamics and control.
The integrated tilted stand is designed for 'Time Alignment.' By angling the speaker slightly upward, it ensures that the sound from the tweeter and the woofers reaches your ears at the same time, creating a more precise and coherent soundstage.
Because the bass-reflex port is located on the front of the cabinet, these speakers are more forgiving regarding placement. You can position them closer to a wall than you could with rear-ported speakers without causing excessive bass boom or distortion.
Focal’s exclusive Slatefiber cone uses non-woven recycled carbon fibers sandwiched between layers of thermoplastic polymer. This construction offers excellent rigidity, damping, and lightness, which results in a balanced midrange and tight, punchy bass.
The Focal Chora 826 is sold as a single unit. You will need to purchase two speakers to complete a standard stereo setup.
