Know before you buy
LHCP (Left-Hand Circular Polarization) is designed to match your drone's transmitter antenna. It is essential to ensure your drone and goggles use the same polarization to maintain a clear, interference-free video signal.
While this is a directional antenna, it features a wide 120-degree azimuth beam-width. This means you do not need to be perfectly precise with your aiming, making it much more forgiving for long-range flights than narrower patch antennas.
The X-Air 5.8 MKII comes with an SMA male connector and includes an RP-SMA adapter, making it compatible with the vast majority of FPV goggles on the market. Always verify your goggles' specific connector type before installation.
The MKII features a significantly smaller, more compact footprint while retaining the same high 10.5 dBic gain. This makes it easier to mount on your goggles without adding unnecessary bulk or weight.
While it is optimized for long-range performance, it works perfectly fine for shorter distances. However, because it is a directional antenna, you will get the best results by keeping the front of the antenna generally oriented toward your aircraft.
