The Linear version provides a smooth, consistent keystroke from top to bottom without any resistance. The Tactile version features a noticeable bump during the press, providing physical feedback so you know exactly when the key has been actuated.
These are 5-pin switches compatible with most hot-swappable keyboards that support Cherry MX-style switches. If your keyboard only supports 3-pin switches, you can easily clip off the two extra plastic guide pins to make them fit.
While the silicone dampeners do soften the bottom-out feel compared to standard switches, the use of a POM stem and high-quality housing ensures the action remains smooth and rhythmic. It is a trade-off for silence, but it retains a distinct mechanical character.
