No, the Aries G1.1 is a dedicated streaming transport. It does not have an internal digital-to-analog converter, so you will need to connect it to an external DAC via its AES/EBU, coaxial, or Toslink outputs.
The Lightning DS app is exclusively available for iOS devices. If you use Android, you can still control the device through Roon or other UPnP/DLNA-compatible apps.
You can connect a standard external USB CD drive to the Aries G1.1. The device will then read the disc and allow you to rip your music files directly to a connected storage drive with built-in error correction.
