Contract grade means the chair has been tested to meet rigorous ANSI/BIFMA standards for durability, stability, and safety. It is built to withstand the high-traffic demands of commercial environments, making it exceptionally sturdy for residential use.

Because the leather is full-grain and aniline-dyed, it does not have a heavy protective coating. It will develop a unique patina, softening and deepening in color as it is exposed to light and daily use, which is a hallmark of high-quality natural leather.

Open box items are typically customer returns or floor models that have been inspected for structural integrity. While the chair is contract-grade and durable, you should expect minor cosmetic imperfections such as light scuffs or slight variations in the leather finish.

The metal frame is finished in a durable bronze and is designed for stability. While the frame is sturdy, we recommend using felt pads on the feet if you are placing the chair on hardwood or delicate flooring to prevent scratching.

To maintain the leather, wipe it down regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or conditioners, as these can strip the natural oils and alter the finish of the aniline-dyed leather.

Natural leather variations in texture and color are inherent to the material, so no two chairs will look exactly identical. While the Morrison Gray tone will be consistent, you may notice slight differences in the grain pattern or subtle shading between individual pieces.
