French Pewter Bud Vase

While it was originally designed as a functional vase, vintage pewter can sometimes develop micro-fissures over time. We recommend using a small glass insert or a floral tube inside if you plan to display fresh flowers with water to prevent any potential leakage.

Avoid harsh chemical polishes, which will strip away the authentic aged finish. Simply dust the vase with a soft, dry microfiber cloth; if necessary, you can wipe it down with a slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately.

The vase is well-balanced for its size, but because it is a slender 9.5-inch trumpet shape, it is best suited for stable, flat surfaces like a console table or mantel. It is not weighted, so it is intended for single stems rather than heavy, top-heavy arrangements.

Each vase features an original stamp on the underside, which serves as the maker's mark and confirms its French origin. This mark is consistent with the manufacturing standards of the 1950s.

The narrow 2.25-inch diameter is ideal for minimalist displays. It looks best with a single long-stemmed flower, such as a rose or lily, or a small, delicate bouquet of wildflowers that can fan out gracefully against the fluted rim.
