Duluth Pack #3

The pack is specifically contoured to ride lower on your back than a standard backpack. This low profile prevents the top of the bag from interfering with the canoe thwart or yoke while you are portaging.

The tumpline is a traditional strap that rests across your forehead, helping to distribute the weight of a heavy load across your neck and shoulders. It is particularly useful for stabilizing the pack during long portages or when carrying heavier gear.

While the heavy-duty canvas is durable and weather-resistant, it is not fully waterproof on its own. The pack includes a 6ml poly liner to ensure your gear stays dry during wet conditions or accidental submersions.

To maintain the integrity of the canvas, keep the pack clean by brushing off dried dirt and spot-cleaning with water. Avoid using harsh detergents, and re-wax the canvas periodically if you notice the water-repellent finish beginning to fade.

The large, open interior is designed for maximum volume and flexibility, which can make small items harder to track. We recommend using internal stuff sacks or dry bags to organize your gear within the main compartment.
