The Scout has a 16-liter capacity and measures 17 inches high by 14 inches wide, which can accommodate most 13-inch laptops or tablets. However, because it lacks a dedicated padded sleeve, you may want to use a separate protective case for your device.

The 15-ounce canvas is naturally durable and water-resistant, making it suitable for light rain or brief exposure to the elements. For prolonged wet weather, you can apply a canvas wax treatment to further enhance its water-repellent properties.

The cotton straps are designed to be flexible and conform to your shoulders over time. While they are comfortable for everyday use and light loads, they do not feature the heavy padding found on technical hiking packs.

To clean the canvas, use a soft brush to remove surface dirt or a damp cloth with mild soap for spot cleaning. Avoid putting the pack in a washing machine, as this can damage the leather reinforcements and the structure of the canvas.

The traditional envelope design uses a secure flap closure that keeps your gear contained while providing quick access. It is ideal for daily commuting and travel, though it is not a locking mechanism, so keep valuables in the inner hang pocket.
