It comes pre-seasoned with 100% vegetable oil, which provides a natural, functional non-stick surface. Like all cast iron, its performance will improve and become more slick the more frequently you cook with it.
The cast iron wok is oven-safe, but please note the maximum temperature rating is 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While the tempered glass lid is durable, ensure you do not exceed this temperature limit when using it in the oven.
While the manufacturer lists it as dishwasher safe, we recommend hand-washing with warm water and a mild soap, then drying it thoroughly immediately after to prevent rust. Applying a light coat of oil after cleaning will help maintain the seasoning.
