While the manufacturer states they can be used for espresso, Espresso Outlet LLC advises against them for this purpose due to difficulty in dialing in. The burrs are constructed from tool steel, coated with Red Speed Titanium Aluminum Carbon Nitride (TiAICN), and are engineered to last a lifetime, capable of grinding over 10,000 pounds of coffee.
