The blender uses wireless technology to detect the size and type of the container placed on the base. It then automatically adjusts the maximum blending speed and program settings to ensure optimal performance for that specific vessel.
The Ascent X3 is specifically designed for the Ascent and Venturist series containers. Legacy Vitamix containers are not compatible with this model's SELF-DETECT system.
You can use the built-in self-cleaning program. Simply add a drop of dish soap and warm water to the container, then run the cycle for 60 seconds to clean the blades and sides without needing to disassemble the unit.
The 48-ounce container is ideal for mid-sized batches, typically serving 3 to 4 people. If you frequently prepare large-batch soups or smoothies for a larger household, you may want to consider an additional, larger-capacity Ascent-compatible container.
The digital timer counts up while you are using variable speed control to help you track your recipe timing. When using the pre-programmed cycles, the timer counts down and automatically shuts the blender off once the cycle is complete.
