AT-LP5x
Best high fidelity turntable for discerning audio enthusiasts.
Building on Audio-Technica’s analog heritage and over 50 years of Japanese audio design, the AT-LP5X features upgraded technology while keeping the contemporary style and acclaimed performance of its predecessor, the AT-LP5. This direct-drive turntable offers fully manual operation with three speeds: 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. It comes equipped with the AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge with a replaceable stylus and a lightweight AT-HS6 headshell. The J-shaped tonearm is engineered to minimize tracking errors, and a switchable MM/MC built-in pre-amplifier allows for versatile connectivity. The anti-resonance die-cast aluminum platter is topped with a heavy rubber damping mat for improved low-frequency reproduction. The AC adapter handles AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis, reducing noise in the signal chain. This turntable boasts an elegant matte black finish and includes a dual RCA stereo cable, a 45 RPM adapter, a USB cable, a dust cover, and mounting hardware.
