Its classic bell-shaped silhouette is comprised of a glossy Polycarbonate exterior whose head curves into an Opaline Injection Moulded Photo-Engraved diffuser. In addition to a long 24-hour battery life (and battery status indicator under the base), this fixture provides 4-step dimming via a simple on-unit push button as well as a plug-in USB charger and cable. Once in use, a soft, glare-free light radiates downward, illuminating tables and countertops while creating a casual, sociable ambiance. FLOS was first established in 1962 in Merano, Italy, to produce high quality modern lighting. This Italian lighting company continues to do so to this day by collaborating with talented international designers and researching the latest lighting technologies and materials. Resulting FLOS lighting fixtures are daring and provocative, yet uphold the fundamental principles of good design.
