The red numerals are considered best for sleeping. There is no need to push buttons to see the time. There are three alarm options. Use the attached USB power cable and transformer plug. The included batteries are for backup in case of power outages. The design emblems are hard enamel 'pins'. Design and final assembly is in Maplewood, New Jersey.
