Know before you buy
This planter is designed for slow-growing, moisture-loving plants that thrive in high-humidity environments. Succulents, mosses, ferns, and small tropical plants are ideal candidates for this self-sustaining ecosystem.
The dome shape and cork lid trap moisture, which evaporates from the soil and plants, condenses on the glass, and drips back down to water the roots. This creates a miniature water cycle that requires very little intervention once established.
While the planter is made from durable recycled glass, it should be handled with care to avoid chips or cracks. To clean, simply wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth; avoid using harsh chemicals that could harm the delicate balance of your ecosystem.
The sustainably-sourced cork lid is naturally resistant to moisture, but it should be kept dry to prevent mold. If you notice excess condensation, you can briefly remove the lid to allow for airflow and moisture regulation.
Because the glass acts as a greenhouse, you should avoid placing the planter in direct, harsh sunlight, which can overheat the interior and damage your plants. Bright, indirect light is the best environment for maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
