The combination of brass, aluminum die-cast, and deadening rubber creates significant inertial mass, which is over twice that of the classic SL-1200MK5. This mass ensures highly stable rotation and effectively suppresses vibrations that could otherwise color the sound.

The magnesium tonearm is designed with high initial-motion sensitivity, making it compatible with a wide range of high-quality moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Its gimbal suspension ensures precise tracking, but you should ensure your chosen cartridge weight is balanced correctly using the provided counterweights.

The turntable uses high-damping silicon insulators integrated with αGEL™, a material known for its exceptional shock absorption. This setup is highly effective at isolating the platter from external vibrations, such as those from nearby speakers or floor-borne resonance.

This motor design eliminates 'cogging'—the slight jerking motion found in traditional motors—resulting in ultra-smooth and consistent rotation. By removing the iron core, the motor achieves a much higher signal-to-noise ratio, allowing for cleaner audio reproduction.
