ZWO 7nm Narrowband SHO Filters
Best specialized optics for capturing detailed deep sky objects.
These narrowband filters are designed to increase contrast between nebulae and the night sky by reducing the transmission of specific light wavelengths produced by artificial sources and natural skyglow. The H-Alpha filter has a 7nm bandpass centered at 656nm with up to 90% transmission, ideal for high-contrast imaging. The S-II filter passes light at 672nm with a 7nm bandpass, suitable for visual observation and tricolor CCD astrophotography. The O-III filter has a 7nm bandwidth centered on 500nm, corresponding to OIII emission lines, allowing for unique imaging of nebulae regardless of light pollution. Combining these filters enables the creation of detailed images and facilitates narrowband imaging even with the moon present.
