Know before you buy
The Geo Trail Grip pedals use a standard 9/16-inch spindle, which is the industry standard for the vast majority of adult mountain, hybrid, and commuter bikes.
Unlike aggressive metal pins that can tear up shoe soles or cause painful shin injuries, the Vibram rubber lugs provide excellent traction through friction and a mountain-inspired tread pattern. They offer a secure, slip-free feel that is much more forgiving on your gear and skin.
While they are designed for off-road use and offer great control, they are platform pedals without a mechanical retention system. They are ideal for trail riding where you prefer the freedom to put a foot down quickly, but they may not provide the same level of locked-in security as clipless pedals for high-speed technical descents.
The composite material is chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio and its ability to absorb minor impacts. It is durable enough to handle trail debris while keeping the overall weight of the pedal manageable.
The Activ Grip by Vibram inserts are designed for durability, but they are a wear item. Over time, you can replace the inserts to restore the original level of grip without needing to purchase an entirely new set of pedals.
