Armada ARV JJ

The ARV JJ is built specifically for backcountry freestyle and deep powder. It excels in soft, off-piste snow where its agility and playful nature allow for creative lines and effortless maneuverability.

The ultralight build, centered around a Caruba core, significantly reduces swing weight. This makes the ski much easier to handle during touring ascents and allows for quicker, more responsive turns when you are navigating tight trees or technical terrain.

Smear Tech is a 3D beveling on the base in the tip and tail that allows the ski to pivot and slide more intuitively in deep snow. It prevents the edges from catching, giving you a looser, surfy feel that makes slashing turns in powder feel effortless.

While it can handle resort groomers, the ARV JJ is specialized for soft snow. If you spend most of your time on hard-packed ice or groomed runs, you might find the wide waist and freestyle rocker profile less stable than a dedicated carving ski.

This rocker profile features tip and tail rocker with positive camber underfoot. It provides the float you need for powder while maintaining enough edge hold and pop to handle jumps, side hits, and freestyle maneuvers across the mountain.
