The vacuum base is designed to anchor securely to smooth, non-porous surfaces like polished granite, marble, glass, or smooth tile. It will not create a strong seal on textured, porous, or uneven surfaces like wood or unfinished stone.

Because the unit is made of stainless steel, it is generally easy to rinse clean. We recommend washing it by hand with warm, soapy water immediately after use to prevent coconut residue from drying in the grating teeth.

While this tool is specifically engineered for grating coconut, the stainless steel blade is sharp enough to handle other firm vegetables or hard cheeses. However, it is optimized for the texture and consistency of coconut meat.

It is quite compact and designed for small-space living. The footprint is minimal, making it easy to store in a standard kitchen drawer or cabinet when not in use.
