When properly bolted down, the extension maintains the structural integrity of your rack. However, because it changes the footprint and leverage points, we strongly recommend bolting the entire unit to the floor for maximum safety.

Yes, the extension is designed to integrate seamlessly. You can move your existing J-hooks, spotter arms, and other attachments to the new uprights, provided they are compatible with the 2x3-inch tubing size.

You will need a standard socket set and wrenches to secure the bolts. Having a rubber mallet can also be helpful for aligning the uprights during assembly, and a second person is highly recommended to hold the pieces in place while you tighten the hardware.
