While this palm is marketed for protected outdoor spaces, it can thrive indoors as a houseplant. Just ensure it is placed in a spot with bright, indirect light and kept away from direct, harsh sunbeams that could scorch the fronds.

Partial shade means the plant prefers filtered light or a spot that receives morning sun but is protected from the intense afternoon heat. If you are placing it outdoors, look for a location under a patio cover or the dappled shade of a larger tree.

This variety is rated for USDA zones 8 through 11, meaning it can handle cooler temperatures better than many tropical palms. However, if you live in a zone with freezing winter temperatures, you should bring the plant indoors or provide heavy frost protection.

This palm prefers consistently moist soil, so aim to water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Be careful not to let it sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot; ensure your pot has adequate drainage.
