The Natural Oil finish requires regular maintenance with food-grade mineral oil and is safe for direct food preparation. The Varnique finish is a semi-gloss, low-maintenance varnish that is highly durable and moisture-resistant, but it is not intended for direct knife use.
If you choose the Natural Oil finish, the surface is suitable for direct food preparation and cutting. If you opt for the Varnique finish, we recommend using a separate cutting board to protect the integrity of the sealed coating.
