Promote healthy skin and hair and feel refreshed with the Berkey® Wellspring™ Inline Shower Filter, which reduces up to 98% of harsh chlorine that can damage delicate skin and hair. This system allows you to keep the shower head you enjoy while easily replacing the cartridge annually. The Berkey® Wellspring™ Inline Shower Filter features a Chrome finish and fits standard ½" plumbing fixtures. It connects between the shower arm and most shower heads (not included). The Berkey® Wellspring™ Easy-Replace Shower Filter Cartridges can be swapped out by hand in mere moments. With typical use, the cartridge lasts up to 30,000 gallons or approximately 1 year. The unit is BPA free and designed in the USA, manufactured in China. Please note that the lifespan of the cartridge depends on influent water quality, and the filtered water is not advised for drinking purposes. Installation must comply with local plumbing codes, and a shut-off valve is not advised for use with this filter.

What customers say

Customer sentiment for the 'Shower Filter by Berkey' is generally positive, reflecting a strong appreciation for its core function: improving shower water quality. Many users report noticeable differences in their skin and hair, attributing reduced dryness, irritation, and frizz to the filter's ability to remove chlorine and other contaminants. Individuals with sensitive skin or conditions like eczema often highlight significant relief, making the product a 'game-changer' for their daily routine. The ease of installation is frequently praised, with most customers finding the setup straightforward and quick, requiring no special tools or plumbing expertise. This plug-and-play convenience contributes significantly to initial user satisfaction. However, some recurring themes temper the overwhelmingly positive feedback. A minority of users report a slight, though often tolerable, reduction in water pressure after installation, which can be a minor inconvenience for those accustomed to high-pressure showers. While the filter's longevity is generally considered good, expectations vary, and some users wish for a longer lifespan before needing a replacement, especially given the price point of replacement cartridges. Occasional reports of minor leaks at the connection points are noted, though these seem to be isolated incidents often resolved by re-tightening or using plumber's tape. Despite these minor critiques, the consensus leans heavily towards the filter being a worthwhile investment for healthier skin and hair, with its effectiveness in chlorine reduction being the standout feature that drives high customer satisfaction.
