The Emit 30 is highly versatile and works exceptionally well in both dedicated stereo systems and as part of a multi-channel home theater setup. Its balanced sound profile and consistent voicing with the rest of the Emit range make it a great choice for front left and right speakers in a surround sound configuration.
Because the Emit 30 features a rear-ported bass reflex design, you should allow for some breathing room behind the speakers. While they are relatively easy to position, placing them at least 8 to 12 inches away from the wall will help prevent the bass from becoming boomy or muddy.
The Emit 30 is designed to be relatively easy to pair with a wide range of amplifiers and AV receivers. With an impedance of 4 ohms and 180W power handling, most modern mid-range integrated amplifiers or receivers will drive them comfortably, though a high-quality amp will help you extract the best dynamics and control.
