The pre-mounted version saves you the tedious process of aligning the cartridge and connecting the delicate tonearm wires. It comes ready to attach to your S-shaped tonearm, ensuring the cartridge is correctly positioned and ready for immediate use.
A Nude Elliptical stylus is crafted from a solid diamond rather than a diamond tip bonded to a metal shank. This reduces the moving mass at the end of the cantilever, allowing the stylus to track the grooves of your records with greater precision and detail.
This unit is designed for turntables with a standard S-shaped tonearm that uses a removable headshell. If your turntable has a fixed headshell or a straight tonearm, this pre-mounted version will not be compatible.
The recommended tracking force range is 1.6 to 2.0 grams. We suggest starting at 1.8 grams and adjusting slightly within that range to find the best balance for your specific setup and record collection.
The 2M Blue is a Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge, meaning it is compatible with standard MM phono inputs found on most integrated amplifiers and external phono stages. You do not need a specialized Moving Coil (MC) preamp to use it.
The SH-4 headshell is built for rigidity and stability, which helps minimize unwanted vibrations during playback. Its ergonomic finger lift also makes it much easier to cue your records safely without accidentally touching the stylus.
